For 70 years, June survived by staying agreeable and sending pain into orbit. But when she’s dragged into a women’s sexual-empowerment workshop, she cracks open an unruly inner landscape of memory, rage, humor, and grace. Provoked by a cryptic Virgin Mary and ghosts at her heels, June approaches the Crone Barrier — the final reckoning between compassion, intolerance, and herself.
